Ian Siegel, chief executive of Santa Monica, Calif.-based ZipRecruiter, told the Los Angeles Times that he pulled together three friends in 2010 — two engineers and one designer — and the four worked at his kitchen table at night and on weekends, to build the first version of ZipRecruiter. And the day it launched, “It was like a rocket ship, like right out of the gate, product market fit,” he said.
