View All NewsWary workers turn to firms that act as independent HR departments
Independent HR services are being hired by individual employees, some of whom have concerns about their company’s own HR departments, The Guardian reported. Individual workers can pay to take their concerns of harassment, discrimination and other job-related issues to such firms. In turn, the firm can explain to workers their rights, give a professional opinion on how such issues can be handled and draft documents to assist workers when speaking with the HR departments at their firms. The independent HR services rarely interact directly with a company’s HR department and do not negotiate fair labor practices like a union.
