Temporary staffing hours worked in the US fell 15% year over year in the week ended April 8, according to the SIA | Bullhorn Staffing Indicator report released today.
Looking at this week’s report, commercial staffing hours fell 18% year over year, while professional staffing hours fell 8%.
Temporary employment has been below last year’s levels since December 2022 and decreased by 4.1% year over year in March. Regarding the outlook for full-year 2023, Staffing Industry Analysts projects a modest decline in commercial staffing and mixed trends in professional staffing in terms of market size.
