The United Auto Workers union filed a lawsuit Wednesday in US District Court against General Motors over the company’s failure to transfer eligible laid-off workers from its plant in Lordstown, Ohio, to a plant in Fort Wayne, Ind. According to the (Warren, Ohio) Tribune Chronicle, the lawsuit alleges GM is using temporary workers at the Fort Wayne facility instead of honoring a collective bargaining agreement that calls for 1,000 seniority employees — including 690 in Lordstown — to be transferred.
