TransForce appoints chief operating officer

April 11, 2016

Truck driver staffing firm TransForce Inc. appointed Jeff Meyer as chief operating officer. Meyer most recently served more than four years as VP and general manager of distribution for Johnson Controls.

“This is a new position within the firm to continue our strategy around organic growth and acquisition,” said David Broome, president and CEO of the Alexandria, Va.-based firm.

In addition to Johnson Controls, Meyer’s prior experience includes 10 years in senior leadership roles for Field Services, a division of Sears Holdings, and management roles at Ryder and ABF Freight Systems.

“We are very excited to have Jeff join our team,” Broome said. “Jeff is a high-energy leader that we expect will provide the leadership and direction to support our continued growth as the leader in our industry.”

Meyer took over the COO role at TransForce effective March 1.

Private equity firm Palladium Equity Partners LLC acquired TransForce last July.

TransForce operates in 54 markets across US. It counts more than 200 internal employees and contracts 3,000 truck drivers on a daily basis.
