Toronto-based staffing firm Bay Talent Group replaces CEO, makes other exec changes

Bay Talent Group Inc. (TSXV: HIRE), a Toronto-headquartered staffing firm, this week announced CEO Allan Hartley has stepped down from his roles as CEO and a director effective immediately. In addition, Steven Wang has stepped down from his roles as officer and director of company subsidiaries Provision IT Resources Ltd. and PTC Accounting and Finance Inc.

“BTG is grateful for their contributions and wish them well in their future endeavors,” according to an announcement by the company that also said both executives had played significant roles in the formation and growth of the firm.

BTG named Simon Dealy as its new CEO. Dealy is a co-founder of the company and served as BTG’s president since Jan. 1, 2018, and as CFO since Jan. 1, 2019.

In addition, BTG named Dan Teguh as VP of finance. Teguh was director of corporate development at a North American healthcare consolidator prior to joining BTG.

The company also named Eric Loree as chief legal officer. Loree had joined the company in December 2018 as corporate secretary.

Dealy noted the Covid-19 pandemic has created uncertainty but the company is moving ahead with its strategic plans.

“The Canadian job market may be reduced during the next quarter however our company’s management is now strengthened, has a demonstrated track record in the HR industry and is looking to lead to a technology-based future driven by industry leading advisors,” Dealy said.

BTG had revenue of C$9.0 million (US$6.8 million) in the nine months ended Sept. 30.
