Executive search firm The Tolan Group acquired Charleston, SC-based Discover Biopharmaceutical Search and Placement, a boutique search firm dedicated to the biopharmaceutical field.

“This is a very strategic opportunity for our firm,” said Timothy Tolan, CEO and managing partner of The Tolan Group. “The healthcare sector continues to grow and expand, and life sciences is a big part of that expansion.”

The deal is taking effect immediately. However, terms of the transaction were not announced.

The Tolan Group, launched in 2005, is headquartered in St. Augustine, Fla., and focused on serving the healthcare industry. It’s a member of executive search firm Sanford Rose Associates Network of Offices.
