The Adecco Group's Special Counsel renames staffing operations to SCI, refreshes legal overall brand

December 06, 2018

Special Counsel, the largest US legal staffing firm in terms of revenue, announced a name change on Monday for its legal talent and recruitment operations — that business line will now be called SCI.

The division places attorneys on a temporary basis as well as supplies legal support professionals and legal technology specialists for contract and permanent roles.

SCI’s name change was part of a brand refresh at Special Counsel, a part of The Adecco Group.

The company also announced a new brand, EQ, which will serve as a legal consultancy providing services related to cybersecurity, data analysis, information governance and managed review.

Special Counsel’s Parker + Lynch Legal, a provider of attorney permanent placement, will remain, as will the company’s D4 technology and eDiscovery division.

“These four divisions are distinct, but share the same core values,” Laurie Chamberlin, president of Special Counsel, said. “They enable us to be a flexible partner equipped to provide right-sized solutions and specialized resources on a case-by-case basis, and equally important, they allow our internal talent to hone their expertise while fostering collaboration across the larger organization.
