Tesla plans to roll out a ride-hailing service that will compete directly with human cloud/ride-sharing firms Uber and Lyft, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said in on a third-quarter earnings call with investors. Musk said his company’s service would “compete directly with Uber and Lyft, obviously,” Business Insider reported. Tesla has mentioned plans for such a service before, and Musk said in May it would “probably” be ready to launch by the end of 2019.
