Temporary staffing hours worked fell 12% year over year in the week ended Feb. 25, according to the SIA | Bullhorn Staffing Indicator released today.

Looking at this week’s report, commercial staffing hours fell 15% year over year while professional staffing hours fell 6%.

The lower levels seen in 2023 are not surprising given the record volume achieved in 2022 and headwinds such as inflation, elevated interest rate and general economic slowing.
