“Right now, you can assume that if an employee is talking to a company about a job, they're having a conversation with six other companies,” Melanie Monroe, regional VP for Staffing Solutions/Employbridge, told the Knoxville (Tenn.) News Sentinel. “The dynamic between how many job seekers are available in comparison to job growth has changed, just like it would in real estate, between a buyer’s and a seller’s market. The same thing happens in a staffing company. There's just a lot of opportunities. (Candidates) do shop. They look for various things where companies have to be competitive in today's market.”
