System One, a Pittsburgh-based IT and engineering staffing provider, announced the acquisition of RPG Resources, a diverse environmental services company also based in Pittsburgh.

RPG Resources provides inspection engineering and environmental solutions which align and compliment System One’s outsourced services to the oil and gas, renewable energy, telecom, transmission and distribution, and utility services sectors.

The transaction closed on Jan. 23; terms were not announced. There will be no changes to RPG Resource’s leadership team. RPG Resources will maintain its brand and work in collaboration with System One with the intent to integrate the businesses over time.

System One provides specialized, highly technical outsourced services and workforce solutions to critical infrastructure, technology, life sciences and government sectors. It operates in more than 50 locations in the US, Canada and the UK.
