Forty-eight percent of information technology executives expect IT budgets to increase this year, according to a survey of 1,000 IT leaders in the U.S. and Canada by TEKsystems and the Inavero Institute.

In addition, 40 percent of IT leaders expect to increase contract hiring by 10 percent.

The survey also found that 43 percent of respondents plan to increase permanent hiring by 6 percent.
