Staffing hours worked for the week ended Sept. 18 fell 3.5% from the previous week but remained up 19% year over year, according to the latest SIA | Bullhorn Staffing Indicator, released today. The decline was in commercial staffing, which fell 5.0% from the previous week.

The SIA | Bullhorn Staffing Indicator measures hours worked. It comprises two sets of analyses: a year-over-year comparison showing how the most recent week compared to the same week 12 months previously and an indexed value that has been benchmarked against data from the week ended Jan. 19, 2019.
In the week ended Sept. 18, the index value was 96, following readings of 100 and 103 in the prior two weeks.
