‘Staffing for Canada Week’ is this week

June 06, 2017

This week is Staffing for Canada Week, the Association of Canadian Search, Employment and Staffing Services announced. The week aims at recognizing the more than 400,000 Canadians employed through the $13 billion staffing profession.

The week first began in 1980 as “National Temporaries’ Week” in Edmonton as “National Temporaries' Week.”

“The theme of ‘Putting Canadians to Work/Au Travail’ shows the importance of making the most of the workforce in our province and our country, by connecting skilled job-seekers to employment and helping employers meet their labor needs,” said Premier of Alberta Rachel Notley. “I want to extend my thanks to all ACSESS members for your commitment to support health and safety at workplaces in Alberta and Canada.”
