Some jobs may stay remote even after Covid-19: CFO survey

April 07, 2020

Some jobs may go remote even after the Covid-19 crisis is over. A survey by Gartner Inc. found that 74% of CFOs plan to move at least 5% of their previously on-site workforce to remote positions post-Covid-19.

The survey included 317 CFOs.

“This data is an example of the lasting impact the current coronavirus crisis will have on the way companies do business,” said Alexander Bant, practice VP research, for the Gartner Finance Practice. “CFOs, already under pressure to tightly manage costs, clearly sense an opportunity to realize the cost benefits of a remote workforce.”

Nearly a quarter of respondents said they plan to move at least 20% of their on-site employees to permanent remote positions.
