SIA’s Collaboration in the Gig Economy virtual conference takes place next week on Sept. 17 and 18. The event brings together the different segments of the workforce solutions ecosystem including staffing firms, enterprise staffing buyers, RPO providers, human cloud firms, gig economy companies, VMS providers and MSP suppliers. SIA President Barry Asin will kick off the event with a keynote on transforming and optimizing the talent supply chain.

The event will also feature a keynote panel on Sept. 18 with executives from the ecosystem:

• Patrick Beharelle, CEO of TrueBlue Inc.
• Hayden Brown, president and CEO of Upwork Inc.
• Art Papas, founder and CEO of Bullhorn
• Marcus Sawyerr, global head of digital partnerships at The Adecco Group

Other sessions include a talk on “Digital transformation and the gig economy: Reinventing talent management for the networked age” by Don Tapscott, an authority on the impact of technology on business, on Sept. 17.

The virtual conference will also feature sessions on a number of workforce solutions ecosystem topics as well as offer networking opportunities plus an event styled after the television show “Shark Tank” on Sept. 17, during which a panel of judges will decide one firm that will receive the Gig Economy Shark Tank Award.
