SIA publishes 2016 list of fastest-growing US staffing firms

August 02, 2016

The 2016 annual list of fastest-growing US staffing firms has been released. It is the largest such list Staffing Industry Analysts has compiled, with 112 firms posting compound average growth rate for revenue of more than 15% from 2011 to 2015.

Here are the top 10 fastest-growing staffing firms for 2016:

  1. Loyal Source
  2. Dedicated Nursing Associates Inc.
  3. Healthcare IT Leaders LLC
  4. Phaidon International
  5. Health Carousel
  6. OneStaff Medical LLC
  7. Source4Teachers
  8. Specialist Staffing Group (US division of SThree plc)
  9. SearchPros Staffing
  10. HealthCare Scouts Inc.

For the top 10 firms on the list, the median CAGR was 72.6% and for the full list was 30.3%, up from 22.2% last year.

IT staffing was the main segment for 30% of firms on the list — the highest percent. However, it was closely followed by 29% of firms that listed healthcare staffing as their main segment. Third was industrial staffing cited by 19% of firms as their main segment.

To qualify for the list, staffing firms had to post at least $1 million in revenue in 2011 and have compound annual revenue growth of at least 15% between 2011 and 2015. All numbers are self-reported. However, the top 10 fastest-growing firms had to provide financial statements to verify the numbers or provide verification of the numbers on company letterhead when financial statements were not available. Only organic revenue growth was considered; revenue was adjusted to remove growth from acquisitions.

The list is based on staffing revenue, which included temporary staffing revenue, direct hire, retained search and temp-to-perm conversion fees. For the purposes of this list, staffing revenue did not include revenue from payrolling, PEO services, MSP fees or pass-through funds, RPO operations, HRO operations, or online staffing services.

Sponsoring this year’s list is Bullhorn.

The list will also be featured online and in the September issue of Staffing Industry Review magazine, which will include interviews with executives and others at the 10 fastest-growing staffing firms.

The full report is available to corporate members of Staffing Industry Analysts.
