Riviera Partners acquires tech executive search firm in New York

February 06, 2019

Riviera Partners, a retained search firm for engineering, product management and design leadership, acquired Bamboo Talent, a New York-based search firm that places technical talent in venture-backed businesses. Bamboo Talent’s clients include Etsy, Goldman Sachs and others.

The transaction closed Jan. 25; terms were not disclosed. The Bamboo Talent brand will not remain, but company co-founders Will Potter, Glenn Murphy and Jon Peters will join Riviera.

Riviera was founded in 2002; its clients include Uber, Hulu and others.

“Hiring the right technology leadership is increasingly difficult as demand grows for key individuals that can create value within organizations,” Riviera Partners CEO Will Hunsinger said. “This is particularly true in New York where some of the top technology organizations are expanding operations, traditional industries are pursuing digital transformation, and venture capital investment has seen unprecedented growth.”
