Report lists US diversity staffing firms

October 26, 2016

Staffing Industry Analysts released its 2016 List of US Diversity Staffing Firms, which includes 133 US companies that self-identify as being woman-owned, minority-owned or under other diversity ownership. This year’s annual list is a directory that includes 86 firms owned by women, 58 minority-owned firms, 10 veteran-owned firms and four firms in Historically Underutilized Business Zones.

The report divides the firms into three sections based on 2015 staffing revenue. It includes 20 companies with more than $100 million in revenue; 68 firms with between $10 million and $100 million in revenue; and 45 firms with less than $10 million in revenue. The companies with more than $100 million in revenue are listed in order of revenue size, while companies in the other two sections appear in alphabetical order.

“The workforce solutions ecosystem is markedly enhanced by the talent and solutions provided by these staffing firms,” said Staffing Industry Analysts President Barry Asin. “Inclusion and diversity are integral to competitive and sustainable organizations, and it is inspiring to see such strong leadership creating value for business as well as for society.”

Act•1 Group was the largest diversity-owned staffing firm in the US to respond to the survey. The company counted $948 million in 2015 US staffing revenue and delivers on a global scale, with about 12,000 clients and offices throughout North America, Latin America, Asia and Europe.

Among the firms that responded to Staffing Industry Analysts’ survey and that are included in the report, the five largest diversity-owned staffing firms are:

  1. Act•1 Group: $948 million; women owned, African American owned
  2. Integrity Staffing Solutions: $570 million; certified LGBTBE
  3. Collabera: $465 million; Asian Indian American owned
  4. Artech Information Systems: $365 million; women owned, Asian Indian American owned
  5. Digital Intelligence Systems (DISYS): $287 million; Asian Pacific American owned

“This report shows that diversity-owned staffing firms can be found across all segments of the staffing industry,” said Timothy Landhuis, research manager at Staffing Industry Analysts. “In the report, the segments with the highest number of diversity-owned staffing companies are IT, office/clerical, and industrial with 43, 20, and 18 firms, respectively.”
