Professionals seeking entrance to the US on H-1B visas for highly skilled workers are facing more scrutiny, TechCrunch reported. H-1B denial rates rose to 22.4% for the three-month period starting in July 2017 compared to 15.9% in the same period one year earlier. More requests are also being made for additional documentation, and professionals from India are the most affected.
