Recruit Holdings Co. Ltd., one of the world’s largest staffing providers, appointed Iwaaki Taniguchi as corporate executive officer in charge of accounting, tax, and financial management. The appointment takes effect Jan. 1.

The company made the appointment at today’s board meeting with the intention of strengthening Recruit’s accounting, tax, and financial management on a global level.

Taniguchi in 2004 joined Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd., which describes itself as the largest pharmaceutical company in Japan. At Takeda, he was named senior VP & general manager of the finance & accounting division in 2013, and Taniguchi was named senior VP & general manager of the corporate finance division in 2015.
