People2.0, an outsourced employer-of-record and agent-of-record services provider, acquired the Brookson Group, a Warrington, England-based provider of support services to freelancers and independent contractors. The deal closed May 9.

“The addition of Brookson to the People2.0 family significantly enhances our ability to unburden independent contractors and facilitate flexible, remote and independent work arrangements,” said Erik Vonk, executive chairman of People2.0.

Plans call for the Brookson management team to remain, and People2.0 also plans to work with the Brookson team to create a center of excellence in the UK.

Brookson Group’s leadership team will fill key roles in the new entity.

“We are excited for the opportunity to expand our services on a global scale that partnering with People2.0 provides,” Brookson Group CEO Andrew Fahey said.

Based in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, People2.0 is a portfolio company of private equity firm TPG Growth.

Last year, People2.0 acquired TalentWave, a provider of employer-of-record, agent-of-record and workforce compliance services in the US.
