IT services giant Wipro Ltd. (NYSE: WIT) appointed Deepak Satwalekar, a financial services professional, as an independent director to its board for five years effective July 1. The appointment is subject to shareholder approval. In his career, Satwalekar has been the managing director of HDFC Ltd. and subsequently the managing director and CEO of HDFC Standard Life Insurance Co. Ltd. The appointment follows the naming of Thierry Delaporte as CEO and managing director effective July 6.

The Intersect Group, an Atlanta-based staffing firm, hired Matt Beyer as director of business analytics; his areas of expertise span data warehousing, business intelligence, big data, information management, system integrations, analytics, master data management, data architecture, technology implementation and support.

RBW Consulting, a recruitment firm serving the life sciences and technology sectors, named Andrew Chanon as director of client engagement at its new office in Raleigh, North Carolina. Chanon previously served as practice director at SRG and business development manager at Ockham Development. RBW also announced that Peter Tyler joined as senior manager. Tyler previously held roles at Pharmalogics Recruiting.

Heidrick & Struggles International Inc. (NASDAQ: HSII) announced that Gary Knell did not stand for reelection at the company’s annual meeting last month, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. In connection with this, Heidrick decreased the size of its board to eight members from nine.

Protis Global, an affiliate of MRINetwork, added Cheri Ehrlich Eisen as senior VP of business development. With 20-plus years of talent acquisition and HR leadership experience, she has partnered with major entities in the entertainment space like Walt Disney Television and NBC Universal. 

Executive search firm Raines International announced Lylan Masterman joined as the first member of its advisory board. Based in New York City, Masterman has 15 years of experience leading product and engineering organizations. Raines also added Wayne Worthington as a VP in Dallas; Worthington most recently was senior associate in the global technology practice at Korn Ferry. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and served as a captain in the United States Marine Corps.

Executive search firm Boyden announced investment professional Russ Silvestri joined the firm as a managing partner in California. His career spans more than 30 years in investment banking and public and private investing.

Background-screening company HireRight appointed Jeremy Wasser to senior VP and global head of product management. Wasser joins HireRight after eight years at Experian.
