People: Uber, PrideStaff, Korn Ferry and more

Sidecar co-founder Jahan Kanna is leaving automaker General Motors and will join Uber on Monday as the product lead of the Vehicle Solutions, Fortune reported. Khanna and Sunil Paul co-founded San Francisco-based human cloud ride-sharing provider Sidecar Technologies Inc. in 2011. Earlier this year, GM acquired the technology and most of the assets of Sidecar.

PrideStaff, a national staffing franchise, announced the owners of these new offices in first two weeks of April:

  • Deana Oseguera: Richmond Northwest in Richmond, Va.
  • Aubrey Williams: Atlanta North Central in Atlanta
  • Jonathan Stelling: Atlanta West in Kennesaw, Ga.

Executive search firm Korn Ferry International Inc. (NYSE: KFY) announced seven senior client partners joined the firm as global account leaders:

  • Angela Carter joined from a “Big Four” professional services firm where she was a partner in the performance improvement advisory business and served as the market segment leader for technology/media & eEntertainment.
  • Linda Culliton joined from Aon Hewitt where she served as a global account executive for a portfolio of Fortune 100 companies.
  • Knight Doggett joined from a “Big Four” professional services firm where he was a member of the Southwest region leadership team. Doggett has more than 27 years of experience with global energy/oil & gas companies.
  • Ravi Gupta joined from RGP where he served as a regional managing director - strategic accounts for a portfolio of Fortune 100 technology companies. 
  • Jim Newfrock joined from Booz Allen Hamilton where he assisted clients with transformational change in risk, compliance and technology initiatives in the financial services, energy, healthcare and technology industries along with US government agencies.
  • Patrick O’Meara joined from a “Big Four” professional services firm where he was on the senior leadership team helping to oversee the firm’s global business with a US-based automotive OEM.
  • Jim Ringer joined from Accenture where he was a client account leader for a portfolio of programs across the enterprise for a key life sciences client.

Executive search firm Odgers Berndtson announced three former managing partners from Allen Austin will join its new Houston office as partners in the energy and industrial practice.

  • Jim Thompson will target US B2B industrial companies in oil and gas, power, renewables, clean technology and related industrial businesses.
  • Gary Payne will focus on C-level positions in industrial manufacturing, distribution, clean tech, oil & gas and power with roles in general management, finance, supply chain, international leadership and human resources.
  • Mary Campagnano will target the full energy value chain and related industrial products and services.

Egon Zehnder International, which ranks as the fourth-largest retained search firm in the US, named Arun Dhingra as leader of the firm’s Dallas office. He will also continue to lead Egon Zehnder’s US financial officers practice. Dhingra assumed the Dallas role from Christopher Pfeiffer, who will return to serving the firm’s healthcare clients, with an emphasis on advising healthcare-centered private equity firms and healthcare services organizations.

Executive search firm ZRG Partners Inc. added Paul Stefunek as a managing director. He will support ZRG’s growing technology practice and also be a member of its industrial and private equity team. He previously was a partner with a global executive search firm as well as chairman and managing partner of executive search firm paul-lawrence associates.

Houston-based staffing company Murray Resources Ltd. promoted Kimberly Carpenter to director of recruiting. She will oversee the recruiting teams of both Murray Technical (IT, technical sales, engineering) and Murray Professional (non-technical professional). Carpenter joined Murray Resources in 2008 and most recently served as search director.

Lucas Group, an Atlanta-based executive search firm, promoted Kyle Lehman to branch practice manager of its human resources practice in Denver. Lehman joined Lucas Group in 2012.
