People: TrueBlue, Randstad Argentina, CTG, Cejka, WunderLand Group and more

Staffing provider TrueBlue Inc. (NYSE: TBI) announced William Steele is retiring from the company’s board of directors effective Dec. 31. He has served on TrueBlue’s board since 2001 and was chairman of the corporate governance and nominating committee and lead independent director until this year, in addition to serving as a member of the audit committee. Steele began his career at ABM Industries where he was appointed president in 1991 and CEO in 1994, and served in those capacities until he retired in 2000.

Randstad Argentina appointed Alejandro Servide as director of its professionals and RPO sectors in Argentina. Servide joined Randstad in 1997 as branch manager in Pilar, becoming region manager in the Federal Capital and Buenos Aires in 2005 and director of the company's human capital practice in 2016. He reports to Andrea Ávila, CEO of Randstad Argentina.

Computer Task Group Inc. (NASD: CTG), a Buffalo, NY-based IT staffing provider, appointed Jeff Gerkin as executive VP, sales. He most recently was senior VP, North American sales for ManpowerGroup Inc. (NYSE: MAN). Gerkin has also held sales and marketing leadership roles as senior VP and general manager for Right Management; VP of metro marketing and director of marketing, both for Manpower; and client sales director for Accenture Information Management Services. 

Cejka Executive Search, the healthcare executive and physician search division of Cross Country Healthcare Inc. (NASD: CCRN), announced Alan Johns joined the firm as executive VP, managing principal to lead the firm’s academic medicine and health sciences practice. Prior to joining executive search four years ago, he held senior leadership positions at public and private, research-intensive universities.

WunderLand Group, a recruitment agency in the digital, creative and marketing sectors, appointed Jon Jelinek as president. He previously was managing director at Advanced Resources, an affiliate company; both WunderLand Group and Advanced Resources are part of the Advanced Group. Jelinek joined Advanced Resources in 2014 as HR division director to build the HR practice.

Job board operator CareerBuilder LLC added Anthony Dupree to its senior executive team as chief information officer and chief information security officer. In the new role for CareerBuilder, he oversees CareerBuilder’s infrastructure, development opportunities, cloud and security for the firm’s ecosystem and is responsible for its global IT and information security vision, policies and programs. Dupree previously was the CIO and CISO of Novitex, a provider of cloud-based solutions in the document outsourcing industry. He has also held senior roles at McGraw-Hill Education, Elizabeth Arden and Toys R Us.

Bullhorn, the staffing and recruitment software firm, hired Ian Scott as director of global accounts to accelerate the company’s international enterprise growth. Joining Bullhorn on the heels of its September acquisition of Connexys, a Netherlands-based recruitment software company, Scott will be responsible for international customers in the UK and mainland Europe. Before joining Bullhorn, he was head of sales for a global provider of recruitment technology.

Brilliant, a staffing firm targeting the accounting, finance and IT sectors, promoted Kathy Spearing from practice director to managing director of management resources and technology staffing. Mitch Ornstein, a former national strategic accounts director for a large, national professional services firm, was hired to fill her role as practice director.

IT staffing provider MDI Group named Jim O’Reilly as the new managing director of its Dallas office. He has more than 20 years of experience in national IT staffing.

SmartRecruiters, a provider of talent acquisition technology, appointed Sarah Wilson as head of people to oversee all hiring, onboarding and human resource management. Wilson has more than 15 years of experience in recruiting and HR, and previously was director of performance management at Indigo.
