TrueBlue Inc. (NYSE: TBI) announced that James Defebaugh, executive VP, chief legal officer and secretary, will retire effective July 1. Succeeding Defebaugh will be Garrett Ferencz, who has served as TrueBlue’s senior VP and general counsel since January 2020. Ferencz joined the company in 2007.

Barrett Business Services Inc. (NASDAQ: BBSI) reported that Heather Gould, VP and chief strategy officer, has stepped down from the position.

Staffing provider GEE Group Inc. (NYSEAMERICAN: JOB) announced former Kelly Services Inc. CEO Carl Camden will serve on its board. Presently, Camden is founder and president of IPSE, the Association of Independent Professionals and the Self-Employed. Also joining GEE’s board are Matt Gormly, founder and managing partner of ReynoldsGormly & Co., and Thomas Vetrano, who has more than 35 years of experience in international business.

Executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles (NASDAQ: HSII) named former Google executive Laszlo Bock to its board. Bock is a co-founder and CEO of Humu Inc. and former senior VP of people operations at Google. Board member Gary Knell had announced that he would not stand for reelection.
