People: TekPartners, The Select Group, Fahrenheit IT, Optomi, Stefanini, CTG, Heidrick, Pridestaff and more

TekPartners promoted Jay Bevilacqua to president. Bevilacqua will oversee all operations as the Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based IT staffing provider and will report to founders Harris Katz and Vito Scutero. Bevilacqua’s former roles at the company include account manager, market director and executive VP.

The Select Group named Michael Barker as chief operating officer. Barker has been an advisory board member for the company since January 2017. He had also served as a member of the board at Eliassen Group from January 2017 to November 2018. Prior to that, Barker was a senior VP and general manager of Experis – North America, a part of the ManpowerGroup (NYSE: MAN). The Select Group is based in Raleigh, NC.

Paul Taylor has joined Fahrenheit IT, a Denver-based IT staffing firm, as division president. Taylor was formerly CEO of Solving IT, an IT recruitment and solutions firm. Prior to that, he was CEO of recruitment firm FiveTenGroup.

Optomi Professional Services named Rob Crum as VP of strategic accounts, overseeing the Atlanta-based company’s strategic accounts team and, specifically, the Optomi IT talent business. Crum has a sales and operations background at AMN Healthcare (NYSE: AMN) and Iron Mountain.

IT services firm Stefanini announced Stefan Baier will serve as VP of strategic staffing. Baier has nearly two decades of experience in working in the recruitment and supply chain industry. Stefanini in the US is based in Southfield, Mich.

CTG (NASD: CTG) named Romulo Juarez as managing director, delivery, for the company’s North American health solutions line of business. Juarez joined Buffalo, NY-based CTG from Slalom Consulting where he served as Michigan healthcare lead, client service partner.

Heidrick & Struggles (NASD: HSII) appointed Stacey Rauch to its board as an independent director effective Feb. 1. Rauch is a director emeritus of McKinsey & Co. She is also chairman of Fiesta Restaurant Group Inc. and serves on the board of Ascena Retail Group Inc. In addition, she is nonexecutive director of Land Securities Group plc.

Kevin Pratt, owner/strategic partner of PrideStaff Akron in Akron, Ohio, will lead the office’s new PrideStaff Financial Division.

Executive search firm The Bowdoin Group named Kara Barr as head of recruiting. Barr previously served as delivery team manager for WinterWyman Executive Search.

Irvine, Calif.-based executive search firm McDermott & Bull appointed Heather Cameron as director of talent acquisition and operations. Cameron will lead internal hiring, oversee operations and support the executive search practice in Canada. Cameron previously served at Korn Ferry (NYSE: KFY).
