People: Revature, Care.com, Gava Talent Solutions, Triple Crown Consulting, Beacon Hill Staffing Group and more

Revature, an IT training and staffing firm based in Reston, Va., added Heidi West and Ian Brown to its partner team, both as VPs of strategic accounts. West, formerly of TEKsystems, has 14 years of staffing industry experience and will focus on the government services and healthcare verticals. Brown, based out of Chicago, previously was the sales director of national strategic accounts at Randstad Technologies; he will focus on expanding Revature’s West Coast footprint, specifically its technology services vertical.

Human cloud firm Care.com (NYSE: CRCM), which connects caregivers that perform work onsite for families, appointed Marla Blow and William Harris to its board of directors. Harris is the founding CEO of Personal Capital, a digital wealth management firm; In 1999, he was the founding CEO of PayPal, and previously served as CEO of Intuit. Blow is founder and CEO of credit card venture FS Card Inc. and a partner in Fenway Summer LLC, a consumer finance investment company that incubated FS Card. Care.com ranks 12th on SIA’s list of largest consumer-focused human cloud platforms.

Professional services firm Global Upside Inc. announced VP of Staffing Bill Armstrong took over as president of Gava Talent Solutions, or GTS, its rebranded staffing division. Global Upside CEO Ragu Bhargava will continue as the CEO of GTS, which provides professional staffing and consulting services globally.

Triple Crown Consulting, an IT recruitment firm filling senior tech roles, announced Site Manager Kyle Raymond will lead its new office in Portsmouth, NH, to support its East Coast business. He previously was a business unit manager at Triple Crown’s headquarters in Austin, Texas. Recruiting Team Lead Ryan Rooney joined Raymond in Portsmouth to develop the business. 

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, headquartered in Boston, announced Division Manager Jennifer Bird will lead the new Beacon Hill Technologies office in San Diego, Calif. Beacon Hill’s IT staffing division now operates in 31 Beacon Hill locations. Bird joined the company’s Orange County, Calif., office in 2011.

Executive search firm Korn Ferry International Inc. (NYSE: KFY) announced Joseph Westphal joined the firm as a senior advisor to the global industrial market practice. Westphal served as the US ambassador to Saudi Arabia from 2014 to 2017; prior to that, he was the Under Secretary of the US Army and the Army’s chief management officer. Westphal also worked in the US House of Representatives and the US Senate for 12 years. Korn Ferry also announced Sharad Vishvanath joined the firm as APAC regional head for the transformation and transaction (M&A) practice. Vishvanath has more than 20 years of experience across banking and consulting and has worked in multiple countries; he joins the firm from AU Small Finance Bank, a start-up bank in India where he ran the digital bank, analytics and HR portfolios. 

TempWorks Software, a provider of software and payroll funding to the staffing industry, promoted Executive VP Casey Kraus to president. He will take on primary responsibility of sales strategy and client transactions for the company. Kraus joined the Eagan, Minn.-based company in 2007.
