Travel nurse staffing firm OneStaff Medical hired Mike Vaughn as chief financial officer, a newly created role at the company. Vaughn has more than 25 years of experience in finance and business operations with a heavy focus on international operations. Vaughn comes to the Omaha, Nebraska-based company from Behlen Manufacturing Co.

The TechServe Alliance, a trade association of IT staffing and engineering staffing firms, announced Joel Leege was elected as 2024 vice president/president-elect for the TechServe board. Leege has more than 20 years of experience in the staffing industry. He has been an active member of the TechServe Alliance since 2002 and was first elected to the board in 2022. Leege is chief strategy officer at Randstad Technologies Group.

Kelly Services Inc. announced that nine people have been elected to one-year terms on its board at the company’s annual shareholder meeting on May 17. The board also chose board member Terrance Larkin as chairman, succeeding Donald Parfet, who will remain on the board as an independent director. Parfet, managing director fo ApJohn Group LLC has served a chairman since 2018. Meanwhile, Larkin, an attorney with 28 years of experience in business law, has served on Kelly’s board since 2010. Larkin is also retired executive VP of business development, general counsel and corporate secretary at Lear Corp. Both Parfet and Larkin were included among the nine board members elected for one-year terms. The other board members re-elected are Gerald Adolph, retired senior partner, strategy and mergers and acquisitions of Booz & Co.; George Corona, retired president and CEO of Kelly; Robert Cubbin, retired president and CEO, Meadowbrook Insurance Group Inc.; Amala Duggirala, executive VP and chief information officer, United Services Automobile Association; InaMarie Felix Johnson, former chief people and diversity officer at Zendesk Inc.; Leslie Murphy, CPA, president and CEO, Murphy Consulting Inc.; and Peter Quigley, president and CEO of Kelly.

Employbridge, the largest industrial staffing provider in the US, appointed Janelle Bieler as president of its Western region, a new region for the company that includes California, Oregon, Washington and Nevada. Bieler has more than 20 years of experience in executive leadership, management and sales. Bieler most recently served as president of Adecco Canada; prior to that, she was a director of sales at ManpowerGroup. Employbridge also announced that Gunnar Gooding is retiring after 25 years as regional president of the Southwest region.

Guidant Global, part of global staffing firm Impellam Group, named Adam Little as VP of client solutions for the North American Midwest market. Little has more than 18 years of industry experience, and the new position marks his return to Guidant. Little had previously served at the company as a vice president. He is also a first lieutenant in the Army National Guard.

Executive search firm Boyden announced Kathleen Dunton as the new chair of its board. Dunton has more than 20 years of experience in executive search and is managing partner for Boyden in Germany and regional practice leader for private equity and venture capital. She succeeds Craig Stevens, who will remain on the board as a director. 

AkkenCloud, a provider of software to the staffing industry, named David Barthel as VP of sales. Barthel has 27 years of experience in the staffing industry at firms such as Aerotek, TEKsystems, Allegis Global Solutions and Hiring Solved.
