People: Oasis, AtWork, Carmichael Fisher, Bullhorn and more

Oasis Outsourcing, a professional employer organization based in West Palm Beach, Fla., promoted Alina Gabbard to senior VP of field sales. She will oversee all five regional vice presidents and coordinate the sales processes in each market throughout the US. For the past 12 years, she has served as regional VP, handling 10 regions covering seven states for Oasis. Gabbard will work out of Oasis’ office in Tampa, Fla.

AtWork Group franchisee Sonja Robinson will open a new Northern Virginia branch in Ashburn, Va.

Executive search firm Carmichael Fisher EMEA announced Benoit Becar joined its life sciences, medtech team practice as a senior consultant in its European operations headquartered in London. He will develop the medical devices and healthcare IT team within the life sciences practice. Becar most recently was a principal consultant in the Moscow office of executive search firm Amrop.

Staffing software provider Bullhorn promoted Jonathan Novich to general manager, staffing. Novich joined Bullhorn in 2014 through its acquisition of The Code Works Inc. and previously served as the company’s general manager of Cloud-based innovation technologies. He now leads the solutions team for the staffing industry.

Lucas Group, an Atlanta-based executive search firm, appointed Andrew O’Neill as managing partner in the accounting and finance division. He most recently was business development lead with Cincinnati-based Aquarius Professional Staffing. Lucas Group also promoted the following individuals:

  • Marie Manalansan: Executive senior partner, Accounting and finance contract solutions; Las Vegas
  • Joyce Kiernan: Senior partner, sales and marketing; Atlanta
  • Jessica Lalka: Senior partner, accounting and finance; Denver

Executive search firm Korn Ferry International Inc. (NYSE: KFY) announced Stefan Baldenweg joined the firm’s leadership and talent consulting business as a senior partner based in Zurich. For the past 16 years, Baldenweg has been a partner with Swiss management consulting firm Malik Management and head of its Zurich office.

Executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles International Inc. (NASD: HSII) announced Tom Moran rejoined the firm as a partner financial services practice. Based in the firm's Chicago office. Moran will specialize in insurance and the financial services’ CEO and board effort. Moran previously spent more than two decades with Heidrick as managing partner of the insurance practice and co-regional managing partner for North America of the financial services practice, as well as a member of the global financial services practice.  Moran most recently was vice chairman and a partner in the financial services and CEO and board practices at another executive search firm.

California-based SPMB (formerly known as Schweichler Price Mullarkey and Barry), announced Becky Stein joined the company as partner, focusing on the consumer and digital markets. Stein most recently was senior client partner at Korn Ferry International Inc. (NYSE: KFY), where she co-founded the firm’s digital practice and led its digital commerce sector. She previously was managing director of global executive search firm Russell Reynolds Associates, serving as head of the firm’s consumer sector for the Americas. SPMB is a retained executive search firm targeting the technology, consumer and sustainable energy sectors.

Christenson Advisory Services, a provider of executive search, compensation, financial advisory and management consulting services to the real estate industry, added Amy Bauer as leader of the firm's East Coast executive search practice. Bauer most recently was a senior VP Capital Funding Group.

Executive search and professional services firm hrQ, which targets the human resources profession, announced Kim Bradney, Melissa Haid, and Kim Wende joined the firm as managing consultants in hrQ's Denver, Dallas, and Houston offices, respectively. Bradney most recently was manager of recruiting for CoBank; Haid was area manager with a large global firm; and Wende was a senior associate and executive recruiter focused on the energy sector.
