IT staffing provider MDI Group named Chris Cain as chief sales officer, effective Nov. 18. Cain has 27 years of leadership experience in IT staffing and most recently was a partner at M9 Solutions, where he managed three business units. Cain replaces Rob Persiano, who was appointed to the role in April.

Staffing firm ALKU promoted Jon Kujala to VP of recruiting operations. He will continue to oversee all recruiting and will serve on the executive leadership team. Kujala joined the firm in 2009 as its first recruiter and its third official employee; he most recently was director of recruiting.

Human cloud, ride-sharing firm Lyft hired Kristina Omari as its first-ever VP of corporate development and investor relations, TechCrunch reported. Omari most recently served as VP of corporate development at Fitbit and was co-founder of diversity and inclusion at BuildUp.

Options Group, a US-based executive search firm serving the financial services industry, appointed L. Kevin Kelly as vice chairman. Formerly CEO of executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles International Inc. (NASD: HSII) from 2006 to 2013, Kelly is currently the CEO of Halo Privacy, a cyber security consulting firm focusing on advanced secure communications.

Professional employer organization Insperity Inc. (NYSE: NSP) promoted Brett Steele to district manager of its new district office in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He will be responsible for directing the company’s sales efforts throughout the region. Steele joined Insperity in 2014 as a business performance advisor.

Professional employer organization Resourcing Edge named David Kirkland as regional VP of sales, Northeast region. Along with regional leadership and team development, he will focus on developing Ohio into a Midwest regional service center. Kirkland reports to Ron Cleboski, executive VP, national sales and marketing.

TalentRISE, a Chicago-based management consulting company focused on recruitment, promoted search associate Beth Gordon to director, executive search. Before joining TalentRISE, Gordon was a senior associate with Jobplex, a division of Chicago-based executive search firm DHR International Inc.
