People: Intersect, Cornerstone, Monster, Jackson and more

Cornerstone Staffing Solutions, a national staffing and recruiting firm, announced John Devlin joined as regional director, East Coast, where he will be accountable for the company’s branch and on-site operations. Devlin most recently was regional VP at Staffmark, a US-based division of Recruit Holdings.

The Intersect Group, a national finance, accounting and IT staffing and consulting firm, added Avi Khilnani to its executive team as the finance and accounting market VP for Atlanta. He previously held executive positions at Fastaff, Randstad, Sirius Solutions, Yoh and KForce.

Leadpoint, a staffing provider to blue-collar production environments, announced Mike Dickey joined the company as VP, human resources. Prior to joining Leadpoint, Dickey was area human resources manager for Republic Services in its Great Lakes area.

PrideStaff, a national staffing franchise, announced Marcelo Valdivieso on May 7 opened its Detroit North office in Troy, Mich. Additionally, Tom Zigtema on April 30 purchased the Atlanta West office from its previous owner. Both offices provide staffing and employment services in a variety of professional and light industrial disciplines.

Jackson Healthcare, one of the largest US healthcare staffing firms, promoted Leslie Day-Harrell to senior VP, corporate real estate. Day-Harrell is responsible for the company’s physical footprint in Alpharetta, Ga., including a $100 million corporate campus expansion designed to accommodate 1,400 new associates in 306,000 additional square feet. 

Job board provider Monster Worldwide Inc. added Bob Melk to its executive team as chief commercial officer. He joined the company in February after nearly two years as president of Dice. In turn, Melk announced a newly formed Enterprise Talent Solutions segment, led by Senior VP and General Manager Penny Queller, that aligns Monster’s staffing and enterprise business units in North America and Talent Fusion by Monster on a global basis. New appointments within the group include:

  • Tim Robbins, VP and general manager, staffing: Robbins will lead the staffing business unit. He has been with Monster for 14 years, most recently as VP, East sales and business development.
  • Roy Etnyre, regional sales director, West, enterprise: Etnyre joined Monster 13 years ago and most recently was regional sales manager.
  • Marcus Bush, regional sales director, Northeast, enterprise: Bush has spent nearly two decades at Monster, most recently in his role as enterprise sales manager.
  • Beth Herman, regional sales director, Southeast, enterprise: Herman has a three-year career with Monster and previously was regional sales manager.
  • Greg Avallone, VP regional sales, new business, enterprise: Avallone joins Monster from SAP Concur and previously worked for CareerBuilder.
