People: Infosys, Uber, ZRG, The Service Companies and more

Infosys (NYSE: INFY), a global IT services and outsourcing provider, announced CFO M.D. Ranganath resigned, effective Nov. 16, to pursue professional opportunities in new areas. Ranganath for 18 years held leadership roles at Infosys in the areas of consulting, finance, strategy, risk management and M&A, including as CFO for the past three years. Infosys’ board of directors will immediately commence the search for his replacement.

Human cloud, ride sharing firm Uber Technologies Inc. named Nelson Chai as CFO. He most recently was CEO at insurance firm Chicago-based Warranty Group, and previously was president of CIT Group. Before that, he was CFO of Merrill Lynch & Co.; NYSE Euronext, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange; and Archipelago Holdings, an electronic stock exchange in the US. Uber’s former CFO, Brent Callinicos, left the company in 2015, Recode reported, and finding someone to take over the role over the last year or so has been challenging.

Executive search firm ZRG Partners Inc. added Greg Gerson as a managing director and leader within the healthcare services practice. Prior to joining ZRG, Gerson was at Korn Ferry International Inc. (NYSE: KFY) and was the leader in the healthcare market for professional search within Futurestep. His previous experience also includes work for Aon as a compensation expert in the healthcare sector.

The Service Companies, a provider of managed services and staffing to the hospitality industry, appointed Mike Latham as executive chairman. He joins The Service Companies as part of its acquisition of MCR Facility Services. Prior to founding MCR, Latham was president of both the engineering and facilities services companies for ABM Industries. Cornel Sneekes, MCR’s former COO, is also joining the Service Companies as SVP of its newly launched business unit, Engineering Services. Additionally, Gridiron Capital — the private investment firm that acquired The Service Companies in July — added Bill Leonard and David Farwell as board members. Leonard previously was president and CEO of Aramark Corp; Farwell served in a variety of senior management positions at ABM Industries.

The Caldwell Partners International Inc. (TSX: CWL), a Toronto-based executive search firm, added Frank Morogiello as a partner in the firm’s industrial practice, based in Dallas. He most recently held leadership roles with several other international search firms. He previously was with American Airlines for 20 years, most recently as the head of global sales with responsibility for contracting revenue with Fortune 500 corporations, travel and government agencies, and trade associations.

InveniasPartners, a healthcare executive search and talent advisory services firm, announced Joseph Fournier joined the firm as a partner. He most recently was senior VP and chief people officer of healthcare system Intermountain Healthcare. InveniasPartners is headquartered in Chicago with offices in Los Angeles, New York, Salt Lake City and St. Louis.

WorkSmart Systems, an Indianapolis-based professional employer organization, added Business Development Lead Krissy Steury to head up its expansion into the Fort Wayne and Northern Indiana regions. Founded in 1998, WorkSmart counts more than 200 client companies with employees in 37 states.
