People: Hays Talent Solutions, Jobletics, MDstaffers, 99, Caldwell

Hays Talent Solutions appointed Eric Mesrits as head of services procurement. Mesrits specializes in strategic sourcing and procurement for large multinationals and previously held senior procurement roles at companies including Cisco, Ariba and Unisys. Hays Talent Solutions provides RPO, MSP and statement-of-work services. It’s part of Hays plc, the London-based firm that ranks as the sixth-largest staffing firm in the world.

Jobletics Inc., which provides hourly shift staffing at foodservice, retail and hospitality organizations, added Joe Kelley as president. Kelley has more over 30 years of leadership experience in the grocery and retail industry and had been working as an advisor to Jobletics. Kelley previously held senior positions with grocery chains including chairman and CEO of Marsh Supermarkets, president of Stop and Shop New England, and executive VP at Price Chopper Supermarkets. 

MDstaffers, a California-based healthcare staffing agency, named Dan Field, MD, as chief medical officer. Field previously was an attending emergency medicine physician at Kaiser Permanente for 30 years and still practices emergency medicine. Field is an instructor for the California Northstate University Medical School after previously serving as clinical faculty at UC Davis for approximately 25 years.

China-based ride-sharing firm Didi Chuxing named Tony Qiu as CEO of Brazilian ride-hail app 99, which it acquired a few months ago, Recode reported. He replaces Peter Fernandez, who first joined 99 as an adviser and then became the company’s chief product officer in 2016. Qiu previously acted as a general manager at Didi and last managed the company’s premiere or luxury business.

The Caldwell Partners International Inc. (TSX: CWL), a Toronto-based executive search firm, added Tim Bostick as a partner in the firm’s industrial practice, based in Dallas. Bostick joins Caldwell from Ray Partners, an executive search boutique he co-founded 15 years ago. Previously, he spent 10 years in the energy, industrial and consumer practice of Ray & Berndtson.
