People: Futurestep, Calibre One, Advanced Group, Heidrick and more

Futurestep, a division of Korn Ferry International Inc. (NYSE: KFY) providing recruitment process outsourcing and other services, added Kay Cooper to its Europe, the Middle East and Africa leadership team. As VP, key accounts, Cooper will manage several Futurestep global strategic client relations across EMEA and play a key role in expanding Futurestep’s footprint in EMEA. She previously served as VP, global solutions and then managing director, RPO, EMEA and Asia Pacific at Kenexa. Her tenure at Kenexa was preceded by leadership roles at Alexander Mann Solutions and Barclays.

San Francisco-based Calibre One, an executive search firm targeting senior management teams within innovative areas of technology, hired Douglas Gladstone and Ryan Polich as VPs. Gladstone most recently was managing director of his consulting practice, DP Gladstone & Associates. He also was CFO for America Online Music. Polich most recently was a partner at IQTalent. He started his career at Heidrick and Struggles and spent eight years in Washington, recruiting lobbying and public affairs executives.

The Advanced Group, a professional staffing, consulting, and outsourcing company headquartered in Chicago, appointed Jessica Miller-Merrell as VP of talent strategies. Miller-Merrell founded Blogging4Jobs.com, an online resource for the HR and recruitment industry. She began her career with Target as a field human resources manager in 2001 and has worked in a number of corporate roles as a HR Director and recruiting leader. Miller-Merrell has spent the last eight years as a human resources and recruiting consultant focusing on technology, social media and process enhancements.

Executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles International Inc. (NASD: HSII) announced Patrick Gray will join the firm’s Washington office as a partner and head its aerospace, defense and aeronautics sector in the Americas. Gray most recently spent five years at a boutique firm, where he helped to establish the group’s Washington office and specialized in the aerospace, defense, national security and government services practice, as well as the general industrial and private equity sectors.

Egon Zehnder International, a privately held executive search firm, announced Lee Wrubel, M.D., joined the firm’s New York office as an executive recruitment consultant and strategic talent advisor. Wrubel has more than 20 years of experience working across health care delivery, management consulting and venture capital. As a member of Egon Zehnder’s global health and private equity practices, he will provide strategic counsel on executive search, leadership development, and management appraisals.

Executive search firm Korn Ferry International Inc. (NYSE: KFY) announced Marcus Schneider will join the firm as senior client partner in the global industrial practice. He will be based in Germany and work with clients on a global basis. He previously was a partner at a global executive search firm, where he was a member of the global industrial practice, with a strong focus on the manufacturing segment. Schneider also led the European financial officers practice at the firm.
