People: Chartwell, GES, Fahrenheit IT, Allegis Partners, NextGen and more

Chartwell Staffing Solutions, a staffing provider based in Lancaster, Penn., hired W. Holmes Lilley III as executive VP and general counsel of its legal department, providing counsel to all teams within Chartwell. Lilley most recently was associate general counsel to Health Management Systems Inc. in Las Vegas. The company also hired Anthony Matzke as area manager of its new driver division. Matzke has more than 16 years of staffing experience and most recently was a branch manager for Trillium Drivers. Chartwell’s driver division serves businesses and manufacturers in Southern California.

Global Employment Solutions and its Fahrenheit IT division announced Eric Waldinger joined the company as VP of marketing. Reporting to President Wayne Cavanaugh, he will oversee all marketing activities for Global Employment Solutions and Fahrenheit IT. Waldinger brings more than 18 years of marketing experience, 13 of those specifically in the staffing industry. He previously held marketing leadership roles in real estate and staffing companies including UDR, Archstone, Aquent, Careerbuilder.com and Robert Half International Inc. (NYSE: RHI).

Fahrenheit IT also announced Quinn VanGorden joined the company as a regional VP based in Minnesota. VanGorden since 2011 has served as managing director at DISYS, responsible for overall client relationship within the healthcare and life sciences verticals. He also will report to President Wayne Cavanaugh.

Executive search firm Allegis Partners, part of Allegis Group, announced Hang Bower joined the firm in Houston as a managing director in the human resources practice. She previously was VP and managing director of the Houston office of hrQ. Before that role, Bower was chief human resources officer for BDO USA LLP.

NextGen Information Services Inc., a national staffing and consulting firm based in St. Louis, announced Steve Kaufmann joined the firm as client and government services director. He will focus primarily on the government, healthcare and tech services markets while developing and expanding IT solutions and staffing. Kaufmann brings more than 20 years’ experience in recruiting, IT talent engagement, marketing, business development and branch management.

Legal search firm Major, Lindsey & Africa announced Mindy Crandus Sircus joined the firm as a managing director in its in-house practice group, based in Chicago. Sircus spent the last 17 years as a legal recruiter with the Zenner Consulting Group in Chicago. 

Executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles International Inc. (NASD: HSII) added Alan Milinazzo to its global healthcare and life sciences team as partner. He has two decades of executive management experience in the life sciences sector and most recently was president and CEO of InspireMD. Milinazzo will be based out of the company’s Boston office.

Vaco Los Angeles, a project consulting and direct hire placement firm for accounting and IT professionals, hired Laila Nguyen as business development manager. Prior to joining Vaco, Nguyen served as finance analyst for T-Mobile, and corporate accountant for HaloSource and for Arrow Electronics. In addition, Vaco Los Angeles promoted Elizabeth Charles and Devon Nishida to recruiters, and hired Tom Hargis as senior talent research manager.

Strategic Staffing Solutions (S3), an international IT staffing firm headquartered in Detroit, announced branch manager Jason Shirley will lead its newly opened branch office in Portland, Ore. The newest of S3's 32 branches will support one of its largest clients in the finance industry, and its development group.

Egon Zehnder International, a privately held executive search firm, announced John Lowry joined the firm’s Chicago office as an executive recruitment and board search consultant. He most recently was COO of Allied Recreation Group. Previously, he served on Harley-Davidson’s leadership team while leading manufacturing operations in both Kansas City and the Milwaukee area. He began his career as an infantry officer in the US Marine Corps, retiring with the rank of colonel. Also, Jeff Otto joined Egon Zehnder’s Atlanta office as an executive recruitment consultant and strategic talent advisor, active in its global industrial and supply chain practices. He previously was general manager of customer care and fulfillment for GE’s $3 billion industrial solutions business. His earlier roles at GE include executive leader, quality for GE Energy Management and director of the GE Corporate Initiatives Group.
