Computer Task Group Inc. (NASD: CTG), a Buffalo, NY-based IT staffing provider, announced Robert Barras rejoined the firm as VP, sales, for the company’s North American healthcare line of business. Barras will have executive responsibility for healthcare sales in North America. Most recently, Barras was an executive with The Advisory Board Co. in a national sales capacity. He had previously joined CTG in 2009 as a client partner and progressed to managing director and then VP. 

Managed service provider Geometric Results Inc., a subsidiary of MSX International, announced Bob Hicks is now leading its statement-of-work program as VP of SOW programs. Hicks previously spent nearly two decades at Shell Oil. Before his departure in 2016, he was responsible for Shell’s multi-billion-dollar procurement strategies for IT consulting, nonemployee labor and VMS. His consulting firm, Lodgent, provided consulting services to enterprises, staffing agencies, and MSP providers.

UK-based staffing and workforce solutions provider Impellam Group plc reported in a regulatory filing that Sir Paul Stephenson intends to step down from the board at the end of calendar year 2017 to pursue other interests. Impellam’s global managed services brands include Bartech, Comensura, Guidant Group and others. The company’s specialist staffing divisions include Blue Arrow, Coresaff Services, Bartech, SRG, Tate and others.

International specialist recruitment firm Phaidon International announced Director Elliott Milton will lead its new office in Dallas, which serves clients across Texas and the southern US. The hub will include two of Phaidon International’s brands: EPM Scientific, which provides life sciences staffing, and DSJ Global, which provides professional services including supply chain, procurement, logistics, and financial planning and analysis. Phaidon ranks sixth on Staffing Industry Analysts’ list of fastest-growing US staffing firms.

Executive search firm Korn Ferry International Inc. (NYSE: KFY) announced Carlos Martins joined the firm as President of Hay Group, South America, effective Monday. He will be based in São Paulo, Brazil. Martins most recently led the People Advisory Services practice for South America at global consulting firm EY and was also a member of the Brazil Executive Committee; he consolidated and developed the firm’s presence in the region and contributed to the design and roll-out of company strategy across lines of business. Korn Ferry acquired Hay Group, a Philadelphia-based human resource consultancy, in 2015 for approximately $452 million.

The Execu|Search Group appointed Peter Leibowitz as VP of travel nursing. Based out of the Boston office, he will oversee the firm’s national travel nursing practice. Leibowitz most recently was VP of recruitment at HealthDrive Corp. Prior to HealthDrive, he held various leadership positions at Cross Country Healthcare (NASD: CCRN). Execu|Search provides recruitment, temporary staffing and workforce management solutions to a range of industries.

ShiftPixy Inc. (NASD: PIXY), an on-demand human capital platform to match restaurant and hospitality workers with jobs, added Whitney White and Sean Higgins to its board as independent directors. Mark Absher, presently serving as ShiftPixy’s registered in-house counsel, was elected to serve as a director of the company. Before joining ShiftPixy, Absher for 11 years was associate general counsel of LifeWay, a Nashville-based publisher and retail organization. White since April 2017 has been COO and chief technology officer of Prime Trust LLC, a Nevada chartered trust company. Prior to Prime Trust, he spent 17 years with W.R. Hambrecht + Co., LLC., an investment banking, advisory and brokerage firm that was the underwriter of ShiftPixy’s recent $12 million initial public offering. Higgins is co-founder and VP of Professional Services of Herjavec Group, an information security solutions firm headquartered in Toronto, Ontario.

Executive search firm ZRG Partners added Vaughan Marecki as a managing director and a member of its global insurance practice. Marecki will work with the international team led by David Greenfield, ZRG’s global practice head of insurance. In 2005, Marecki established M Consulting Group, a boutique recruiting and business consulting firm focused on retirement and investment sectors within insurance. The team at M Consulting will also join ZRG Partners.

Cordia Resources, a Washington DC-based staffing firm serving finance and accounting and human resources professionals, announced Douglas Smith joined as a partner in the firm. Smith previously spent nearly 20 years in the Washington market with a national recruiting and staffing firm and has placed professionals across multiple business lines in a variety of industries.
