Apolis, an IT staffing and cloud solutions company, named Ranjith Varma as its new president. Three firms merged in October to become Apolis, which is headquartered in El Segundo, Calif., with India-based operations in Noida, India. Varma most recently served as VP, private equity group at global IT services company Mphasis; prior to that, he was director/executive client partner at UST Global, a digital transformation solutions company.

Jordan Search Consultants named DJ Larson as chief operating officer. For the past two years, Larson had been director of client development at the O’Fallon, Mo.-based firm, which provides healthcare, higher education and corporate recruitment.

IT Works Recruitment Inc., a niche technology recruitment firm, promoted Amy (Benfield) Cullen to business systems divisional manager. She joined IT Works Recruitment as a LIMS specialist and in her new role will manage the LIMS, Kronos, NetSuite, JD Edwards and Infor Lawson teams out of the Atlanta office.

Professional staffing provider Resources Connection Inc. (NASD: RECN), which operates as Resources Global Professionals, appointed Marco von Maltzan to its audit committee, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The board elected von Maltzan as a director of the company in July 2018 but had not determined a committee assignment for him. Von Maltzan formerly served as chairman of the supervisory board of taskforce - Management on Demand AG, a German company for management and project management consulting services that Resources Connection acquired in 2017.

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, headquartered in Boston, added Division Director Kellie Baker to lead its new Beacon Hill Associates administrative staffing division in Cleveland, which joined the previously established Beacon Hill Technologies office. It is the 11th Beacon Hill Associates location.

ENGAGE Talent, an AI-powered platform for talent targeting and engagement, appointed Matt Pietsch as chief revenue officer to oversee all sales, marketing and customer success functions. He most recently was head of sales for Talview, an assessment technology solution provider. The company also promoted Christy Whitehead to chief talent economist; she had been VP of data science and product since April 2017. Whitehead leads the data management and science behind the company’s predictive algorithms and machine learning models.

M&A Executive Search & Consulting, a Minneapolis-based firm providing executive talent to manufacturing and aligned industries nationwide, named Rick Copeland as a new senior VP. He most recently was a principal at c6 Consulting Services and previously spent more than 10 years as VP of human resources at Restaurant Technologies.
