Staffing firm ALKU promoted Dave Esteves to VP of life sciences, Leah Bourdon to VP, Lauren Pacella to VP and David Tuell to VP of healthcare IT. Esteves was the first account manager to be hired into ALKU’s life sciences sector in 2012. Bourdon was the first woman to join ALKU as a recruiter; she joined the company in 2011. Pacella joined ALKU in 2012 just after graduation from college. Tuell came to the company in 2017 when it acquired Holland Square Group.

General Assembly, a division of The Adecco Group that provides skills training, announced five new leadership appointments. Ella Balagula is now senior VP and global head, enterprise. Balagula most recently was executive VP and general manager of knowledge and learning at Wiley. Danielle Chircop, senior VP and global head, product, joins General Assembly from Kaplan North America, where she was VP of digital product. Jason Fournier is VP, product management; he previously was VP, product management, AI products and solutions at Pearson. Roger Lee takes on the role of senior VP, marketing and admissions, bringing 25 years of experience in marketing, most recently as VP, performance marketing, at University of Phoenix. David Porcaro joined the company as VP, learning and innovation after serving as director of learning engineering at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. General Assembly also named Shweta Bhasin as senior VP, human resources, and Alberto Cavero a senior VP, strategy and transformation. Bhasin comes to General Assembly from Pearson, where she was part of its global HR leadership team. Cavero previously served as chief transformation officer at Laureate Education.

Truck driver staffing firm TransForce Group named Stuart MacFarlane as chief marketing officer, effective June 28. MacFarlane joins TransForce from Internet Brands/WebMD where he was chief marketing officer as well.

Cara Collective announced Kathleen Caliento will take on the role of president and CEO at the Chicago-based workforce development organization. Caliento formerly served as chief learning and design officer at The Academy Group.

Marketing/creative and IT staffing firm Onward Search named Blanche Woodbridge as senior VP, New York City, Central and Southeast. Woodbridge previously served as recruitment manager for Allegis Global Solutions.

Turing.com, an online hiring platform for software developers, announced Akshay Thakor has joined as senior VP, operations. Thakor formerly was VP of business operations at Postmates. In addition, Turing.com named Manik Gupta to its advisory board. Gupta formerly served as chief product officer at Uber Technologies Inc.

Diversified Search Group named Aileen Alexander as vice chair and leader of the global corporate practice. Alexander formerly served at Korn Ferry, where she co-founded and co-led its global cybersecurity practice and was managing partner and leader of its Philadelphia office.

Executive search firm The Bowdoin Group hired Connie Mudge as principal. Mudge has more than 20 years of experience, most recently with GLG as head of strategic sourcing, strategic projects.
