The Acacium Group, which acquired Favorite Healthcare Staffing earlier this year, announced this week it acquired R&D Partners, a provider of life sciences staffing based in Redwood City, California.

“This partnership will benefit both organizations, enhancing our combined client offering and supporting the group’s diversification as we continue to expand our services and staffing offer,” Acacium CEO Mike Barnard said.

Acacium reported the deal is designed to expand its life sciences offerings. Terms of the transaction were not announced.

“By combining our two businesses, we can strengthen our relationships with our clients and broaden the range of services that we offer them,” said Jeff Tibaldi, R&D Partners co-founder and director.

Acacium is a London-based healthcare and clinical/scientific staffing provider. In addition to Favorite Healthcare, the company had acquired Dunn Regulatory Associates in March 2021. Dunn is a US-based life sciences and regulatory affairs consulting company.

Acacium is a portfolio company of Toronto-based private equity firm Onex Corp.
