Opportunity for growth is the top factor for graduates when evaluating potential roles for 76% of recent grads, according to the annual “What the Class of 2018 Wants” report released by staffing firm LaSalle Network. Compensation and team culture followed at 51% and 50%, respectively.

The survey also found that while just 13% of new grads were willing to take temporary work, 31% were willing to take a temp-to-hire position.

Company culture was the most important factor when evaluating a company to work for – selected by 64% of survey participants – followed by compensation and location at 62% and 44%, respectively.

Ninety percent of the recent graduates who have already accepted a job offer are making what they expected to make or more, up from 83% in last year’s survey. Forty-five percent of respondents make what they expected; 45% make more and 10% make less than they expected.

The survey included more than 3,000 soon-to-be college graduates. It was conducted in March 2018.
