Online staffing platform Fiverr acquires content marketing platform ClearVoice

February 13, 2019

Online staffing provider Fiverr acquired venture-backed ClearVoice, a subscription-based content marketing platform.

The acquisition brings a portfolio of writers to Fiverr, where content marketing-related services are currently among its most in-demand services. Content creation is also one of the highest-grossing verticals on its Fiverr Pro, which provides a pre-vetted selection of experienced freelancers to clients that need a higher-touch experience.

This is Fiverr’s third acquisition in two years, following deals for freelance services platform AND CO, a platform for freelancers to manage invoices, income and expenses; and San Francisco-based Veed.me, an online platform that enables clients to connect with videographers.

The transaction closed Feb. 1; terms were not disclosed.

Phoenix-based ClearVoice, founded in 2014, has about 22 internal employees with plans to nearly double that in the near term.

Fiverr is a marketplace for creative and digital services including graphic design, copywriting, voice-overs and music and film editing. Its freelancers have completed more than 50 million gigs from more than 200 service categories across more than 160 countries.
