Online job ads increase in July after three months of decline: The Conference Board

US online job ads increased in July by 170,800 to more than 4.6 million, according to The Conference Board’s report on online job ads. Gains over the month were widespread geographically and occurred in most occupations.

The July increase follows declines in June, May and April.

All of the largest 10 online occupational categories posted increases in July. Sales and related ads logged the largest increase, up by 28,200 to a total of 442,200. Healthcare practitioners and technical ads followed, up by 23,900 ads to 521,100; ads for transportation and material moving jobs rose by 23,300 to 348,800.

Architecture and engineering ads had the smallest increase, up by 10,500 to 173,500, followed by computer and mathematical science ads, which increased by 11,400 to 565,800 ads.
