OneDigital, an Atlanta-based HR consulting firm, acquired Lyons HR LLC, a professional employer organization and HR management company headquartered in Florence, Alabama.

Founded in 2000, OneDigital provides insurance brokerage, financial and HR consulting services. Through the acquisition, OneDigital aims to expand its Resourcing Edge PEO solution to its Southeast region, enhancing its employee benefits, retirement plan services, wealth management services, and property and casualty insurance offerings.

The deal closed in March and terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The Lyon’s brand will remain in place for a period before folding into the OneDigital PEO solution brand.

OneDigital extended offers to all management executives from the Lyons HR team; Ginger Bateman will join OneDigital as VP of operations and payroll and Wade Krett will join as senior VP of finance.

“Today marks a significant milestone for OneDigital’s PEO solution,” OneDigital Resourcing Edge president Ted Crawford said in a press release. “With the acquisition of Lyons HR, we are not only expanding our nationwide footprint but bringing our unique offerings to small and medium-sized businesses in a region known for its people’s entrepreneurial spirit.”

Lyons HR, founded in 1995, provides HR management solutions for small and medium-sized businesses and has offices in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and Florida.
