“This is not trying to get rid of the human,” Accenture Operations Group CEO Debbie Polishook told Bloomberg, “but to make them as productive as possible and get them to focus on the work that a human really needs to do.” Polishook was discussing its new selling automation software that has already enabled the company to eliminate 40,000 internal roles. However, Polishook told Bloomberg the affected workers have been retrained for other jobs. The company employs 469,000 people.
