Nintendo faces accusations of exploitative work culture by its contractors (AXIOS)

May 13, 2022

Gaming company Nintendo of America is facing accusations of exploitive culture by its current and former contractors, Axios reported. The gaming company allegedly differentiates between full-time and contract staff in terms of pay, benefits and inclusion and treats its contingent workforce as second-class citizens. In April, The National Labor Relations Board filed a complaint against the company and its staffing provider, Aston Carter. In an internal email obtained by Axios, Nintendo of America president Doug Browser said he and his leadership team are aware of the media coverage and that they are closely reviewing the content.
