March 19, 2018

Nesco Resource, an Ohio-based engineering and industrial staffing provider, promoted Grant Derner to president of Nesco Resource LLC and its affiliates, effective March 1.

Derner has more than 30 years of experience in all aspects of the staffing industry. He joined Nesco Resource in 2009 when the company he founded, PMH Resources, was acquired. He has held various positions at the company including regional manager, VP of Southern division, VP of operations and, most recently, executive VP of the professional division. He will be based out of Nesco’s Tampa, Fla., office.

John Tomsich, who has been serving as president and CEO for the past few years, will continue as CEO of the organization, concentrating on acquisition, strategy and other long-term objectives.

“We are very excited to have Grant take on this role,” Tomsich said. “After conducting a national and internal search to find a candidate for this position, it was clear that with Grant’s extensive experience within the industry and his hands-on knowledge that he was the right choice when it comes to enhancing our ability to serve our customers and driving the next stage of our company’s growth.”

Nesco Resource provides temporary staffing, direct hire and permanent placement solutions to the commercial and professional industrial sectors. It acquired the Columbus, Ohio, operations of Regal Staffing Services in February.

Headquartered outside of Cleveland, Nesco Resource was founded in 1956 as an engineering and design firm. In addition to the Nesco Resource brand, affiliate companies include Callos Resource, Lehigh Technical, ETS Staffing and DePasquale Staffing Services. Nesco Resource counts more than 100 locations nationwide and employed more than 51,000 associates on assignment in 2017.
