The median salary for H-1B visa workers was $80,000 in the 2016 federal fiscal year, up from $69,000 about a decade earlier, according to a report by the Pew Research Center. In addition, demand for H-1B visa holders has risen. H-1B visas are used to bring highly skilled workers such as IT and healthcare professionals into the US.
