A Massachusetts law covering noncompete agreements in employment contracts will go into effect Oct. 1, and it will have significant implications for employers, according to a blog post by Katharine Beattie and Jennifer Budoff of law firm Mintz Levin. “While employers will still be able to utilize noncompete agreements for most workers, the law necessitates a new approach to drafting, implementing, and enforcing these agreements,” according to the post.
